Web design that increases conversion

Whether you are looking for a new web design or looking to improve what you already have, we would love to help.

Web design services

Custom web design

Every website we build at Classic City Consulting is custom-built. There is a time and a place for templates, but that’s not our specialty. We’ve created our own baseline theme that works with the WordPress Block Editor that cuts website editors’ time in half.

Website content writing

A website that doesn’t convert typically has one of two problems: (1) a poor user experience or (2) writing that doesn’t connect with the audience. When thinking about a website redesign, we want to define the key pages a typical customer will view and craft them to line up with your message.

Responsive web design

Mobile devices have been around forever at this point. However, the mobile version of a lot of websites needs some love. We will look at your analytics, determine what types of devices your customers are viewing your site and make sure we are designing with the right screen sizes in mind.

eCommerce functionality

There are a lot of eCommerce platforms that you can design your website in (Shopify and WooCommerce being two of the larger ones). If you are in the eCommerce space, we will work to pair you with the right eCommerce platform that will serve your needs for years to come.

Landing page design

Without landing pages, marketing is meaningless. And, if those landing pages don’t convert, then what is the point? When we work together month-over-month, we’ll partner with your marketing team to understand the goals of each campaign and craft the appropriate landing pages for your website.

WordPress design

WordPress is our CMS of choice. We have a talented team of developers who have spent years customizing WordPress to ensure that your team can maintain your site for years to come. WordPress gives you the long-term flexibility to add in features, while still being a robust management system to run everything through.

I couldn’t have found a better partner. They weren’t yes machines, but they found a way to take my wants and figure out ways to say a realistic yes.

We have a process.
It can’t be boiled down to three easy steps.

Story

We want to understand your “why.” Your business isn’t just about the services you offer – it’s the stories of how your team makes an impact of other people’s lives.

Sitemap
Often overlooked

Content is where many web design processes crumble. We start off by defining 7-10 key pages to tell your story. From there, we arrange content can be brought over [mostly] as-is, and what content can be automagically migrated (ie. blog posts)

Wireframes
Story structure

Before we start making the site look pretty, we want to ensure that we all agree the right structure each key page should have. We look at the key pages from the sitemap and “pencil sketch” the layout to ensure we’re telling the right story.

Design & Art
Your uniqueness

Between your message, logo, brand visuals, fonts, and color palettes, there need to be unique elements that separate you from the rest of your competitors. It’s not just about designing an awesome website – but one that is uniquely yours.

Content
Building blocks

We design in a puzzle-piece method (the different elements can easily be used across all pages). Now we take your key pages, use all the new puzzle pieces we have designed, layout, and write content.

Coding
Sit back & relax

We now take your site and start building it in WordPress. Ready for some tech-talk? All of our websites are built in WordPress, using the WP Block Editor, fully responsive, on a foundation of accessibility, and we record training videos.

Prep
QA sucks

Now you can view your website on all of your devices and let us know what you would like changed. Rather than doing QA, we let you use this time to either fix knick-knacks or build new features. It’s your time, use it however best serves your business goals!

Launch
Show it off!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for – time to launch the site. We’ll make sure either we have access to your DNS or can work with someone on your team. We recommend hosting your new WordPress site on WP Engine if you don’t have a preference.

Pricing for a redesigned website

Let’s get on the same page

A website redesign starts at $30,000

There are a lot of factors that play into that number. What do we look at when proposing a new website budget?

Content migration
We look at your sitemap and determine: (1) how many pages should be brought over as-is and (2) how many need a refresh on content. Not all content needs to be rewritten.

Custom functionality
Not every website needs a lot of custom web development. We want to analyze where you are and where you want to go to determine the right technical effort needed.

Your timeline
Custom web design projects typically take 3-6 months. We want to know what external factors you have to determine the right timeline for your project.

What comes standard in all web design packages?

  • Weekly email updates
  • Bi-weekly orientation calls
  • Dedicated project manager
  • Responsive design
  • Content writing and migration
  • CRM integration
  • Customized education on editing in WordPress
  • Small team that knows you
  • Custom design that matches your brand
  • Content that lines up with your messaging

Enterprise chops.
But, nimble enough for small biz.
