Changelog

  1. v1.2

    After hours

    • Events, with everything attached: There's a proper events system now. RSVP to anything on the calendar in one tap, and the confirmation email lands with the calendar invite already attached — it drops straight onto your Google or Apple calendar. Each event page shows who else is coming, so you can scan the room before you walk in.
    • A record of where you've been (coming): Every RSVP gets logged against your character. Soon your inventory will show the events you've shown up to — past and upcoming, in one place.
    • Night mode, almost: The site's learning how to look different after dark. Wiring's in, contrast still needs a pass. Next patch you'll find a sun/moon toggle in the top nav.
    • Rogue noises: Apparently, the audio toggle wasn't working — click a bee with sound off and it still buzzed at you. Whoops! Fixed. The mute switch in the top nav now governs every sound on the site. (Joshua Hays's idea)
  2. v1.1

    The bee patch

    • Don't pet the bees: Some of the separators have bees on them now. Click one. See what happens. (Mickey Mellen's idea)
    • These very patch notes: The page you're reading is new. We'll log gamification updates here as they ship — and credit anyone who suggested them.
    • Save your stuff: Your inventory can follow you to any device now. Drop your email in the Items tab and we'll send a one-tap link — no password, no spam.
    • First activity built: Added a mini game system for doing quiz-like forms but in a MUCH more enjoyable way.
  3. v1

    Welcome to the arcade

    • A retro coat of paint: Full pixel-art makeover throughout the site. Sprite kits, biome backgrounds (grass, dirt, snow, lava, stone, purple), terrain tiles. The whole thing looks like a Saturday morning game now.
    • The site reacts to you: There's a character down at the bottom of the page watching what you do. The dividers between sections have things in them you can click. Poke around.
    • Hidden things to find: Items scattered across the pages. Common ones are easy, rare ones aren't, legendary ones light up the whole screen. They land in an inventory you can open from the top-right.
    • Coins, naturally: Finding things and clicking the right stuff earns coins. Your total lives in the nav. The economy this hints at is real, and coming.
    • Sounds and sparkles, optional: Coin pings, jump sounds, particle bursts. Mute toggle's one tap and remembers what you picked.
    • Cheat codes: There's a switch at the bottom of every page. Type a word. Some words do nothing. Some drop items. Worth experimenting.
    • Cinematic moments: The rarest drops trigger short, full-screen animations. Astronauts, birds, brief delight.
    • Mobile and accessible by default: Touch zones, scaled sprites, calmer animations for anyone whose OS has asked for reduced motion. Keyboard works everywhere too.
