Onspring

Breaking the “Template” Mold

Onspring is a no-code, drag-and-drop automation platform that empowers business users to replace messy spreadsheets with streamlined workflows. Despite their innovative software, their digital presence had fallen victim to a generic, “boxy” aesthetic that failed to represent their unique brand value. Over time, “content creep” had sprawled across the site, leaving them with a structure that felt disjointed and overwhelming.

They engaged us to push the reset button, organize their content structure, and establish a visual identity that felt as flexible and modern as their product.

The design lacked a cohesive soul

Visual Identity Crisis: The previous website suffered from a rigid, “templated” look, defined by hard straight lines and alternating blocks of solid white and navy that made the brand feel boxy. Furthermore, early design attempts for the new site lacked consistency; different pages utilized conflicting elements—triangles, squares, gradients, and solid colors—creating a disjointed experience that lacked a unified “Art Style.”

The “Orbiting Dot” System: We established a distinct art style anchored to the most important element of their brand: the dot from the Onspring logo. To break the “boxy” grid, we implemented soft, large drop shadows and used the dot in an orbiting pattern throughout the site. We blurred the dot to add depth to backgrounds and used solid dots to divide headers, creating a visual thread that tied all disparate sections together while allowing each page to feel unique.

The updated WordPress Block Editor gives their team drag-and-drop templates for every part of the site. Visitors now find relevant solutions faster and can contact ATS with minimal clicks.

Onspring's full homepage design

By defining a clear “Art Style” focused on the brand’s core identity, we transformed a generic, boxy site into a fluid, branded experience. The result is a cohesive digital presence that eliminates design drift and accurately reflects Onspring’s innovative position in the market.

Let’s build a plan for your next website.

Hi! My name is Chris.

Every company is at different place for their web needs. On our call, we’ll get a handle on if a website revamp makes sense or if simply improving your current site is the logical move.

And, if Classic City isn’t the right fit, I’ll introduce you to someone who would be, debrief them on our call, and make sure you’re not having to repeat information.
